serial cable CJ-70?

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone happens to have the pinout of the serial cable DB9 to DB25
cable for Roland CJ-70 and doesn't mind sharing. The printing is old and dead but vinyl cutting is still functional.
If I could only figure out the pinout for the handshake it will be golden.
Attached is the info from a service manual for the DB25 at the back of the plotter.
I'd like to know how to wire the other end with a DB9.
Thanks.

Is it still alive? It is a null modem cable what you need, but recommend use the parallel.

Hi,
Yes it is still alive.
With some info I found online, I tried a few wiring combinations.
I could get it to cut but I'm getting buffer overflow and ask to check
the handshake. I can't use parallel anymore it's rare nowadays.
I'm using a USB to serial cable and it's verified to work on an old graphtec.
What confuses me with the NULL connection is the CTS pin of the DB25,
it's not physically connected to anything. I checked the board it's not wired.
Only the pins I labeled on the pic I posted above has the physical connection.

Thanks.

Yes, That chart in the manual is not always correct. Some Roland does not have all handshake pins connected. It shows on schematics.
You could manage handshake pins on Flexi, SignCut or some cutting softwares. just deselect RTS and CTS and leave only DTR enabled.
Or connect DB25 pin20. to DB9 Pins 1,6 and 8 as well Do not need DB25 pin4 connected

Try this one works for me with PNC-960. with default software settings.
DB25 2 – DB9 2
DB25 3 – DB9 3
BD25 5,6 – DB9 4
DB25 7 – DB9 4
DB25 20 – DB9 8,6

There are only 3 functional pins
On null modem cables, 2 cross over. The other is a ground
You Need 1 HandShake as well
Do you remember this is is the cable I made to resolve the fault we have worked on Last Year.

Thanks I will try it again. The schematic only has 5 connections required
and I checked the board and it matched.

Thanks for the help guys, the DB9 6/8 to DB25 20 seems to have fixed it.
I can now run the whole length of the plotter and not stopping until done.
Thanks again, greatly appreciated.
