Serial to USB Communication Nightmare

Has anyone out there had communication problems when using a serial plotter ( Summa d750) with a converter? I have been told that it is a Vista problem. I have connected using a converter with an xp computer with no problem, now with Vista I cannot figure it out ( nor was Summa Tech able to fix!) Any help would be most appreciated!

What brand of converter are you using? I prefer Sabrent and they are usually very reliable and compatible.

I use a keyspan on my D750 and they were bought out by tripplite and the above will work for you.
