Hi I relocated to Devon UK and extremely hard to get a workshop in this area it took me 6 months to find one and have been there a year... Although a new unit it is more of an agricultural single skin steel clad workshop and cold and a bit damp I have managed but not ideal and the guy that own the site has made it like a scrap yard rubbish tip old shipping containers, scrap vehicles, rubble etc its a very bump track which grounds out my Mustang and customers cars... it is 25 x 20ft and £400 month... and 20 mile round trip from home
I have an option on a farm near me which is a beautiful picturesque location, awesome view only 3 mile round trip with a smooth track and 32 x 30ft for £500 month, seems like a No brainer but the problem this proposed site is an open agricultural construction with no front or sides there is a portacabin office and a shed i can use which means the vehicles would be under a roof but still open to elements I could get a large 4m x 8m industrial tent to put under the roof to sign write again not ideal but which is my best option...?

there are enough threads discussing the effects of allowing temp to drop to 50 overnight, and controlling
humidity. are you printing, cutting viny? or just installing? i would never consider that farm for this type of business

i can assure you that all your equipment will cover with rust.
materials will curl. (and i am understating the problems you will bring yourself

if you can INSTALL outside, more power to you

i find a 5 degree difference in temp to be a real problem FOR ME, never mind the equipment

While the new location appears picturesque, it doesnt sound like an ideal location for a sign shop...even if you arent printing. You will have no temperature or humidity control at all. If you are like me and attract the wind when I am trying to install outside then I wouldnt think about it. By simply thinking about doing an installation outside I will trigger massive wind gusts. This isnt a sign shop site, its a pole barn and it isnt conducive for sign work. The place you are at doesnt sound like it helps you attract or keep customers but you'll regret moving into an open structure. The only plus to this is less driving to and from work but you'll easily spend more time than that fighting the weather each day.

Never go against the family
You'll be extremely limited. Even if the office area is large and clean enough for printers/ cutters, the open area won't really be usable when it's cold, or rainy with wind... Plus all the dust that'll get kicked up in that lot would really be a headache, even in a mild breeze since you have no economical way to completely seal it off. If you have farms around like this, go riding around and try to find one with a suitable outbuilding, garage, or part of a fully enclosed barn that looks underutilized that would meet your needs, or unoccupied buildings not on the market. If you see anything, find and approach the owner to see if they'll rent a portion.

Sometimes you have to go look for options that aren't advertised on the open market and make your own opportunities. Warehouses and other businesses will sometimes rent out smaller portions of buildings to keep them occupied. Sign shops are a clean business, so if they can spare some enclosed space it'll put a little extra money in their pocket every month without lowering their property value. Even here in the US we have countless small businesses operating out of garages, unused enclosed agricultural buildings, the back end of another business that isn't using all the space. If you can make it work, more power to you, but I think with a little hunting you could probably find something something a little better, and more suited.
