Sintra vs Aluminum

Looking to get a 48"x48" sign made for a restaurant that will hang outdoors from a balcony, not mounted to the building.
I live in the south, so it does get humid, not terribly cold.

Are either of them prone to warping? What would be the best for long term use?

Aluminum at .080 or 6mm ACM which will be by far much lighter in weight. Stay away from the sintra, unless you're gonna go with 3/4" of more, but then you're back to a very heavy sign.

Oh, I see. I checked out some earlier posts. I'm curious now.

To CreoleCuisine,

Did you end up purchasing a printing machine? If so, which one did you purchase? How are you enjoying all the things that the sign business entails if you did? Are you loving having a heart attack every day? --- Welcome to the science of design, printing, craftsmanship if you did purchase a machine.
