Solvent ink conversion instruction for CJ-500

Does anyone here has converted a CJ-500 to eco-solvent? I am looking for parts and how to.

It's a uphill battle to convert the CJ series to solvent. You'll need to replumb the ink lines, replace Head and Capping station. Add a heater, but without you pre or platen heat you'll be chasing colors and or print quality. It can be done, but know you'll have more headaches compared to owning a solvent made printer.

Hi,
Do a quick search with the search feature on the CJ 500 conversion. There is a bunch on the site from past posts on what you need to do it. It's too much to retype all that you can find already here. Once you get a bit of an idea and need to go over things to clear up how to do's then PM me.

I have done my own conversion and made heat plates.

You don't have to change ink lines (I converted 1 and used it for over 2 years) all you need to change are the dampers, flush heads with cleaner, change capping station to solvent resistant and change pump (or change pump hose which ever you prefer) add heaters all can be bought here: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/SOLVENTINKONLINE__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Thanks men, I really think I can do this! I have also looked at a site called www.solventprinterconversion.com They selling conversion kits for some of the Roland printers and instructions how to do it.
