Gonna replace the scan motor this weekend, and was wondering if there are any tips or advice that anyone might have who has done this before. I got a couple of scan motor errors this week during cutting, but restarting the printer fixed the issue. Thanks!

Did you clean and lube the head carriage guide rail? If so and you're still getting random errors, then it's a simple swap repair. Then run scan and cutter aging in service mode. Probably one of the easiest repairs you can do on this printer.
