Static Electricity -> New Board -> Now won't read marks.

Long story short, I was loading some vinyl last week, felt a shock, and suddenly none of the buttons on my FC 9000 worked anymore.

I contacted Graphtec, and they luckily sent me a new main board.

It arrived yesterday morning, we threw it in, and everything seemed to go according to plan. I updated the firmware, sent a few cuts from cutting master, perfect. When I printed from onyx, and the Graphtec won't read the marks. It tries, but no luck. The light on the sensor isn't even coming on. I double and triple checked all of my connections, everything is good.

I tried calling Graphtec, nothing. I submitted a help request yesterday, I got a response saying I'll hear something in 24 hours but I was hoping for something quicker. Do you guys have any idea?

Thank you!

i imagine there are calibrations related to those sensors?
or a procedure in service manual to verify normal operation.
are you sure you didn't connect a cable to the wrong jack?

I just triple checked my connections...and for whatever reason now the light is working so it looks like there is life on the lens. It still won't scan marks though. Now what?!

There's definitely a sensor calibration that needs to be done. See if you can get your hands on a tech manual. I did it many many moons ago on an older Graphtec. Should be fairly straight forward once you get the right instructions.
