we are sidestepping this whole issue i think. i never found a
paper that "liked" the mutoh, that i liked.
we are still using photo 8 solvent
paper on the old roland sc545ex (a lot of extra work for a 20 year old printer, kind of like insisting that your grandfather shovel the snow.)
i got a deal a couple weeks ago. picked up a very low printing hours
designjet t1700dr
this seems to print great at 5x the speed of the roland.
it also loves the HP instant dry papers
there is a certain charm to a wide format printer that the printhead can come from staples for $120 each.
this really tempts me to fiddle with the chemistry and convert it to a pseudo "outdoor
sign printer"
at a bare minimum i intend to convert to bulk ink tanks ASAP
