Tape or Glue for installing plaques

I'm installing 500 small anodized aluminum name plates to an outdoor painted cinderblock wall. The plates are 2"x5" and I'm considering a single 2x5 strip of VHB for the installation versus silicone.

The customer has been told we want the paint to cure 30 days before installation.

Any thoughts and/or advice on this approach are appreciated.

+1 for Both Tape and Silicone. Tape to hold it while the silicone is drying. Silicone to hold long term. I never use just VHB for outdoor adhesion.

What's with all the mention lately of paint drying for a month before applying anything to it??

As mentioned - tape & silicone...not just tape.
