Template help??

Kind of a Newbie, I have been making standard cut vinyl lettering for race cars for a few years now, and may take it to a new level. I do mine the old way, measure and make as necessary. I have seen many companies with templates of cars, like IMCA type modifieds in my case to lay the design on so you can make the customer a proof. I am lost, is there software already made for this or what?

many merchant members on this website (and possibly even your vinyl supplier) carry DVD packs of them, and also have websites where you can download more as they come out with them.
