I just changed the printhead for the first time myself and my test print is having like a line going straight across the test print. I have no idea what causes this or how to fix it and especially considering I only changed 1 print head. Any help would be appreciatiated

Thank You

Can you please be a little more helpful? I downloaded the manual and did everything it is telling me to do. The only thing I am having an issue with is the Vertical Line test because no matter what I seem to do, nothing changes. I changed the black print head

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

You need to align and calibrate the heads, both manually and electronically as shown in the manual. At the moment the other heads are not aligned to your black one,
The black head is the reference and is fixed in position, the other heads are then manually aligned with this, and the electronic calibration does the final adjustments

I tried just adjusting the black horizontal with the twist screw but I did not realize that was a fixed position so I will have to adjust the other 3 that are out of whack and then see where that puts me. But after I do that how do I do the electronic calibration?

Thanks!

My take is the media feed needs to be adjusted. See where the 2 passes meet. Classic media feed issue. If you print a file and see clean even consistent lines, like on notebook paper, it's usually feed calibration. See attached...

Yes leave the black where it is and adjust the other heads manually to that using the test print process in the manual.
In the service manual it should be under print alignment. This fine tunes the heads to each other

Don't forget that you need to loosen the head bracket screws in order for the mechanical alignments to move the head or you'll just be tightening or loosening the adjustment screws with not movement. Sometimes ink splatter also gets under the head bracket and acts like glue so it won't move either which ends up in you adjusting over and over again without anything moving. So you might need to take the head out and clean that area as well.
