Update on power supply

Are you getting a green light on either the servo board or carriage board? If you are then the printer is getting power OK. If not, then you need to check the fuses connected to the main power switch as well as this would stop the power supply getting any power to it

I had a service tech come out. The switch is not working. Right now I am arguing with them about a $42 shipping charge for a $5 part.

Shipping was adjusted to $25. While it solved one problem, the machine still won't stay on. I have another service appointment coming up.

Did the service tech not test the rest of the printer or just the main switch? Bypassing the main switch to be able to check the rest of it is very easy

is this a reasonably competent tech? (i would have my doubts. )
he could go across the switch with a cliplead & test the rest of the machine while he was there

netsol I agree. It is strange he only tested the switch and nothing else. It would have taken less than a minute to bypass the switch and see if that was the only problem

The power switch is working but the machine won't stay powered up. Next step is to have the tech come back out and diagnose. He is bringing a main board with him so hopefully that works.
In the meanwhile I am picking up a new cutter tomorrow morning to get some cut vinyl jobs done this weekend. Thanks to Grimco for pulling us out of this pickle.

The switch works and the machine powers up but it won't stay on. next service is the 19th unless something opens up before that. Thanks to Grimco I was able to get a Graphtec cutter in a day. Ran out and picked it up so I can at least do my cut work. Kudo's to Clean Cut Blade. The owner called me up and we went over what I needed for the new cutter. I told him if he retires I will come and find him, LOL! He can't retire before I do and he has 10 years on me.
We are Cut Low and Ready to Go!
