Trumps idea is great! Have everything manufactured in the USA and then sell it to Americans and people overseas. Don't rely on having to buy in from other countries so tariff it. No more of those nasty foreign cars or phones or TVs !
I can't wait to see how America is going to produce the 140 million iphones sold there every year. All parts made in the USA in the massive Apple factories there full of skilled employees.. I think the assembly of those phones is a tiny fraction of what it cost to make. Most of it is IP licensing, cost of the machines to print the chips, R&D, marketing... Problem is we need to move the chip making to USA which would take a lot of $$ and time.

Surprisingly licensing and royalties is quite a small fraction on a highend phone. Say phone costs $1000 it might be just $30.

Gang tattoos all over face and neck, gold grills top and bottom fresh from Honduras with a brand new baby. No English, no citizenship, fresh in the US staying at a Christian Mission Center. My other renters saw them go through and gave me notice that day. I did not rent to them.

Now, explain to me how I was supposed to do a background check on them? Should I just let them move in when there is a young family downstairs with young children and I own a business next door? What do I do if they decide they don't want to pay rent and have multiple other people move in? What happens if they trash the place and I have no recourse? What happens I go there for rent and get greeted with an AK47 like they did in Aurora?

I worked my a$$ off to buy that rental property and its now part of my retirement just like your 401K's or other investments.

I would really like an answer. If it was YOUR retirement, you wouldn't take the chance either!

Exactly, the cost of setting up the factories, training people, paying ten times the wages the chinese get paid etc... This will lead to a great import market where the chinese can still sell for a fraction of a US made product, so the US factories will go bust .
I don't think Trump supporter actually realise it is the public end up paying the tariffs, not the exporters or importers. All Trump has done is make things more expensive. Great move!

Tariffs have been around for a really long time and we use tariffs with or without trump. He's using them as leverage and it worked.
You claim that he's blowing up his ego, but the man has just survived around 10 years of political abuse and he's done more in 2 weeks than biden did during his entire presidency.
There are also different forms of bankruptcy. Many businesses use bankrupcty to reorganize and restructure corporations. I believe that's what he did.

There's also a really great article in usa today (several years old) about his over 4000 court cases and the outcomes. Despite what the media has told you, he's a pretty savvy and well respected businessman in the business world. In fact, the one lawsuit about the valuation of maralago, the deutsch bank stated that they would give him money regardless of the valuation of maralago because he was a good risk and would pay back the loan. But that part never hit the media.

I'm really really really tired of all of the hatred for a man for no reason. He's literally working for the american people. which is what we hired him to do.
