BECAUSE JIMMY KIMMEL LIED. It wasn't because of "free speech". Jimmy Kimmel lied and made a mockery out of an assassination and a relationship between Trump and Kirk. If you weren't aware, Jimmy Kimmel committed defamation. They HAD to get rid of him and ABC AND Jimmy Kimmel could now face a defamation lawsuit.
Did you HEAR what Jimmy Kimmel said or did you READ the TRANSCRIPT?

I've both watched it and read it. Defamation? In your previous post you said his show was canceled "because of the divisiveness. not because of anything derogatory toward charlie kirk OR TRUMP." But now he's defamed both of them? Which is it? Not even Trump is claiming defamation, and he'd be the first to cry about it.

As to another question in your post, Trump has threatened to have networks licenses pulled because he "read somewhere" that 97% of his coverage is negative. I "read somewhere" that Trump has to wear diapers because of his benzo addiction, does that mean it's true?

I'm not left... Nor am I right, not do I consider myself center really. I've lived in Canada for 4x as long as I've had my US citizenship... I've voted once, and that was in an American election, and funny enough, for trump. Canada doesn't have Democrats / Republicans - we somewhat have a left and a right, but it's still different than USA's. were not as... Us vs them as you guys, they still work together... But it's mainly in compromises, and I'd say they're further left and further right when it comes to policies and politics, which is why I don't follow or identify as either. I follow what I think is right, I don't care if it's the right or left that does It, I don't care if I call a Republican president the worst thing that could happen to America, and then the next day do the same to a democrat one. My alignment is "for the people", which is why I'm still a firm believer in praising someone when they do something right, and calling them out when they do something wrong.... No matter the side of the isle they're on.

These threads were started due to tarrifs, so no matter what the focus is going to be on trump. But I've praised Kirk.... I've called out people who are saying shit things about him, I've pointed out some of Trump's policies I agree with, and a lot I don't. I have zero problem saying what I agree with and don't, whether it makes left's hate me... Or Rights hate me. I'll never vote again in my life because there's no point, I'm sick of the left and I'm sick of the right, and I wouldn't be proud to label myself as either, so why support either one?


And for the record... I was against rosanne being fired, I actually used to watch the show... Then stopped after they fired her.

Did she say something that could be taken as racist? Sure, but again .. she's a comedian, comedians are supposed to push people to the edge of uncomfortableness and turn it into a laugh.

As for Carlson or the others, I didn't even follow them so I'm not sure why they were fired. If it was for something they said, I'm sure unless it was something extremely crazy that hurt Fox's branding, if be against it.

I think you're confused on a couple of things:
1 - Jimmy Kimmel's show was canceled indefinitely because of the divisiveness. not because of anything derogatory toward charlie kirk OR TRUMP.
2 - Trump hasn't called for anyone to be fired because they are "against me". Could you find a source for that one?
3 - I brought up the "trans" movement on purpose. I have gotten kicked off of platforms for arguing against the trans movement. I've been called a homophobe, transphobe and bigot all because I said transgenderism is a mental health disorder. According to the DSM V, gender dysphoria is mental health issue.
So my point to bringing this up is because over the past 10-15 years, we've seen an influx of transgenderism. And people accept it. There's a narrative being pushed about transgenderism and if someone even breathes or questions transgenderism, they are censored.
I also know where this transgender narrative came from because I was a teacher. AND I was also a whistleblower. (of course I was). You asked me to imagine my boss reading this comment. I had that happen to me MANY times. And I stood strong and fought the whole way through it.
I emailed the superintendent many times regarding issues happening in my school. The administrators couldn't do anything to me. So, I got moved to a different department. I had the highest test scores in the math department. They moved me to Texas History (yea we teach texas history here). Guess what I did, I started teaching the constitution. Guess who got moved again...

I'd like to challenge you to post where Trump has said ANYTHING to get people fired from their jobs. Jimmy Kimmel didn't get let go because of trump. He got let go because of the FCC.
Stephen Colbert didn't get let go because of Trump. He got let go because of his ratings.

I cannot agree with you that any republican is acting like a snowflake.
What many people are asking is for the divisiveness to stop. You want to rejoice in charlie kirks death, that's on you. You want to blame maga for it? that's not ok. dont lie about his shooter...stick to facts. the facts are..it wasn't a maga who shot him.

I follow current events. And this thread has opened my eyes a little.
My take is that the people in charge of America, are using hate to divide and conquer.
But that's all they have. Once they have got rid of the lefties, the gays, the trans, the Blacks, the latinos, they will need a new group to hate. Could it be people without beards? Could it be women? (Actually I think you guys are well down that path). It won't ever stop .Hate is a fire that needs constant food.
There is NOTHING Christian about a single thing America is doing.

Cancel culture is people canceling something because they don't agree with whatever is being canceled, people aren't adults anymore and can't accept that other people have different feelings from them so if somebody says or does something they don't agree with rather than ignoring them and moving on they call for them to be canceled.... That is what cancel culture is, the problem isn't the people being canceled whether they're on the left side or the right side the problem is people having the emotional capacity of a 5 year old and wanting everything they do not agree with to just go away.

I read the transcript last night from Jimmy Kimmel's show. It wasn't just the "maga" comment. It was the rearranging of trumps quotes to make it sound like he cared more about the ballroom he's building than charlie kirk. What really happened was that he was in the middle of a meeting about the ballroom when someone came in and told Trump that Charlie was shot. Jimmy made it sound like all Trump cared about was the ballroom and that Charlie's assassination was secondary. simply untrue.
