Gino,What I don't understand is that....... while the solvent machines preheat and post heat all kindsa vinyls, banner materials and other media.... how on earth does it preheat a magnet for proper adhesion ?? Thee's no printer made, whose little heaters can penetrate a magnet at .010 or .030.
Did you try on PVC magnet? It's a no-go.We have tried direct print on an HP LTX110 but it was more frustration than anything. We have printed to vinyl, laminated and mounted and the product was nice looking at held up (used on local school buses in warm and cold weather -40°C plus windchills. Lately we've been outsourcing direct print magnets.
We tried Magnum Magnetics .030 and another brand from Vietnam.Did you try on PVC magnet? It's a no-go.
I print on my epson r5070 .15 and .30 just like vinyl. At 9 pass you get a little grainiest but at 14 pass look like cast vinyl
