UV printing on aluminum

Quoting a job for printing on aluminum on an HP FB6100. Anything I need to know about substrate prep, what type of aluminum to stay away from (e.g. brushed) or other tips are very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure about your inks, but aluminum on our Gandi is one of the best adhesion surfaces out there. We have done mill finish, baked enamel, and brushed all very well. We run a higher pass, slower speed, and hotter lamps. Not sure how much control on the 3 variables your machine has, hopefully its a good start for you. If anything, the white has the lowest adhesion of the 3 mentioned.

Its simple to print on aluminium substrates.
You need rigid UV ink and decontaminate the substrate properly with isopropyl alcool just before printing on it.
