Value Jet 1204 errors! Wiper sys, CR2 current Now??

I was getting a wiper sys. error message, so I cleaned the wiper channel and stuff... put now I'm getting CR2 current error after I start printing, maybe 3' of banner...

Anyone out there have any thoughts, please?

Hi

what is the error code? 074?

you can try clear the encoder strip and check if the belt of motor is over load and then check if the motor is need replace.

Remove the docking station completley and clean the wiper assembly. it gets jammed with solidified ink over time.
Is it jumping when it ceates the CR2 error?

So I've cleaned out the wiper channel real well that doesn't seem to be a problem any more.
I did put a get some shmootz on the encoder strip that was causing the cr2 error.

I have cleaned the encoder strip, replaced the wiper, cleaned some more and now I've got vertical banding, not on all colors or prints but only on particular gradients or values...

Does anyone have a service manual for a VJ 1204??
Do I replace the encoder strip?
