Vinyl Removal

I have a client that has a few cars where the hood vinyl is turning black, see attached. My questions is can I use oven cleaner in the black spots. It look like the sun has backed the vinyl into the hood of the car, I really need some advice on this one. I don't think a heat gun or a steamer will work on this project.

Although you're in Nevada, I'd sooner think that was coming from below.

Open the hood and see if there is sufficient insulation in the hood compartments. Sometimes the engine compartments get so hot.... the decals are burned from below and not above.

Zapper machine will still take it right off. We just did one like that a few weeks ago. Took a little under an hour.
