Got some banding through all colours, not sure what it is exactly, hoping not the heads. It wasn't printing very well, but got it printing though i have some banding or ghost colours now. Trying to recalibrate the full machine from the very start and aline print/cut and all that. Any help apreciated.Hi Tommy - I used to have that printer, I may be able to help. What's the issue? I'm on the road most of today, but I'll reply as soon as I can.
Welcome from Wisconsin USA!
If you could post a photo of what you're getting and maybe also a nozzle test, it may help to give you better advice.Got some banding through all colours, not sure what it is exactly, hoping not the heads. Thanks for posting that. That head certainly has damage to it and a bit of deflecting nozzles, which is the cause of the overspray you're seeing. Unfortunately the only real solution for this is to replace the heads. This is a test print along with what i am experiencing right now. The banding is within the picture at bottom.
Are we talking both heads or just the black one. This is my first serious issue with this printer as it was printing fine, then the next job i done it ended like this. No head strikes and routine maintenance. Thanks for posting that. That head certainly has damage to it and a bit of deflecting nozzles, which is the cause of the overspray you're seeing. Both heads, the overspray is from the magenta nozzle deflections and I could be wrong, but the black head does look like it had a head strike. You could try doing a 48 hour head soak, by shutting off the power, then capping the lines after the cap tops and filling the cap tops with cleaning solution and putting the head back into the capped position and let it sit, then reapply liquid after 24 hour and after 48 hours try a cleaning and a test print, if no improvement, then the heads will need replacing. Are we talking both heads or just the black one.
