welding outlines to text

ok so finished product is cut vinyl...and the font i used is not thick enough, so i kerned and outlined it, and the outline wont weld to the text so i can cut it out...

is this me? or what...

any ideas?

delete the text and just leave the outline you created?

+1 or if you want to keep it around for some reason, grab just the text and weld it first, this will convert it to curves with one button

I just checked though, it should weld the way you described. Sometimes outlines and welds do strange things in flexi

Try Separating the Outline from text. Then, select both objects, and weld them.

Also, what type of outline are you adding? In this case, you want to use an outline "With Backing".
