I forgot to mention the Lil Chizler. Those little gadgets will definitely save some time and finger-nails.
I was a tape car striper back before retractable blades, so I used straight edge razor blades that I kept stored conveniently behind my ear. When I needed to convert one to a scraper I would just scrape the corners only on the concrete floor a few times like bob said to take the point off and bend them up slightly.
Makes it a little safer for the paint.
