Hi I’m wanting to start making personalised labels for school / work for pencils, drink bottles etc I have searched and searched what sort of printer do I need? Can I buy the stickers pre made (with characters) and I just add the name

Any help is greatly appreciated, I just sold my vinyl decal business so I’m looking at other options

you want to buy a few sheets of avery label stock and a color desktop printer. if you wanted to do millions in a run then you could look at a color copier or digital color production press. but a desk top printer will let you do thousands a day

I recommend the HP FB 750. It is a flatbed printer, so when you need to print 6-10 stickers such as that, all you do is load it in and hit print - No messing with a roll. It's also UV, so you dont need any laminate or anything.

To get them cut into the shape you would like, I recommend the following machine -

Smooth CNC High Speed Single Station Die-Cut Hot-Stamping Machinery | SPM-450F/SPM-340F Model

I don't normally recommend Chinese machines, but I'm sure you'll be on a tight budget since this is for your school work, I figured I'd give you a cheaper option.

It may sound expensive, but once you're all setup you can print everything from pencil stickers, to Ice cream labels. You can just drop right out of school and start your own business in the sign industry. Feel free to check out the front page, where another Aussie user is getting advice on the best way to go about that.

Your best bang for the buck would be the HP fb 750 I think the Durst rho would be over kill, where you can print directly onto your colored pencils no need for them cheap looking stickers.
