What's Stopping My Print? Roland BN20A

Hey Team,

I've been using this printer and VW for a few years without any major issues. Used and cleaned very consistently.

A couple times it would start a print, after a few inches of feed it would just stop. Nothing would show up in VW but the % of completion no longer moves forward. The printer just goes back into it's set position like it finished printing.

The computer and printer are wired through an Ethernet cord into a USB adapter, if that's relevant.

We noticed if we gave it a deep clean, restarted everything, it would go back to normal for awhile and cut and print accordingly. However that has recently all changed, and once it does 5-6 passes it just stops printing entirely.

Any ideas?

Ping the in address of the printer when it stops.
ping google name servers 8.8.8.8

BE SURE power management is disabled in device manager
those stupid Microsoft bastards love to reset that in your windows updates

i don't know, jim
i will stipulate that those adapters are chinese garbage.
but
within the realm of chinese garbage, they are fairly reliable. if they work they tend to keep working

if soonerglue will post ip addresses for both machines, (pc & printer) i can walk him through the troubleshooting.

agreed a usb cable is easier, nothing much to configure
