What's this part called? Off of a JV3 Damper.

Can someone tell me what this is? I was taking a damper out to look at it because it wasn't getting ink, and this attachment piece of ink line came out, and the seal that sits in it fell out, so I assume that's all supposed to be one piece, and why I had trouble.

I'm not sure what it's called, so I don't know how to order it.

That is not an original Mimaki part. That comes with aftermarket oversized dampers to adapt the larger tube fitting on the aftermarket damper to the smaller tube on the machine. If using original dampers you do not use this. What is there shoudl be in total - 5 separate parts. 2 o-rings, 2 brass fittings, and 1 peice of tube.

Well rather it's an original mimaki part or not...I guess I don't care...but it's what was on the printer new out of the box...so whatever it is, I need.

I guess it is possible Mimaki started using something like that on later models. On the couple we had it just had the one on the end of the tube by itself.

Anyways the brass fittings should be fine. You just need the o-rings.

Rob Earle sells them in a 12 pack

http://www.robearle.com/parts/index.php

CMYK Parts has them in a 5 pack

http://www.cmykparts.com/MIMAKI JV3.html

Solvent Inkjet sells them individually

Not sure who else might have them....
