white foil smearing on clear vinyl

I have a problem with white foil smearing beyond the print line to the right of my printed image.
See example. The center of the "A" is supposed to be clear vinyl but the white foil smears beyond the black stroke and into the clear. Cutting out the center is a work around but doesn't fix it.

I only experienced a smearing issue when printing on static cling with Duracoat. The black prints fine though?
