Window Perf

I've avoided using window perf for years because it didn't seem to hold up well; the replacement or repair rate was too high. It seems they've gotten better now so we may try it again. This leads to a few questions>

What perf is recommended for store front windows, 60/40 or 50/50? What about vehicles, same or different?

Has anyone tried Contra Vision AutoGraph? It's an air release product which could speed installation and reduce reprints.

Do you need to use a special laminate for this?

I'll let others respond to the best brands but buy some edge tape and use that on all edges - it really helps with longevity!

i'm confused why you would need air release on window perf. don't the holes take care of that?

For retail windows most people go with 70/30 or even 80/20 for better image quality. The 50/50 is really just for cars and a lot more difficult to handle seeing that half of the film is gone. I don't think getting an air-egress liner is really going to help that much. It is fairly easy to install. In fact, I'd be worried about getting enough adhesive on the glass if you did use an air-egress liner.
