Would you guys apply vinyl over mullions?

Gonna be applying "Breakfast" "Lunch" and "Catering" in white letters, with each word spanning across each pair of windows. Should I split the vinyl up or apply it right over the mullions?

I typically don't for my own jobs but I do installations for some large store chains and they require the mullions to be covered. For the most part the vinyl seems to last on the mullions.

No. What Tex said. make a template of the window to scale, and lay out the design around (with) the frames.

Nope.

First of all, the customer needs to be sensible about this and make sure they don't want something up there that needs to span several windows without it looking chopped up. I'd be looking for another area to letter or put up a solid sign.
