you know i lecture everyone about using a humidifier to protect system boards.
i don't want to see you blow up an expensive piece of equipment.
we work too hard to acquire our equipment.
a couple years ago, i put a LARGE APC UPS on my printer. i unplugged it to see how it did on backup
It ran setup ok but made a terrible squeal while it was printing

I'm in a basement so the humidity usually stays pretty high. I don't need to run anything on a backup, I want protection for my stuff and it could be too late for me in one case.
I may have lost my new UV printer to a lightning strike the first day it was plugged in. I can't even do a nozzle check now and it's been 1 week since install.
