  2. Discussion new printers, but which RIP?

Hi all, my work is about to purchase 2x new HP's (560 or 570 TBC) and I would love to get some feedback from people who have used either or (preferably) both Colourgate & Onyx RIP software. Background info is we've been using Ergosoft PosterPrint RIP to run our 2x L260's over the past 4 years...

  5. XPEL - Does anyone still do this?

At a previous job they were an auto accessory supplier/ installer- i ran the vehicle graphics department. they had a guy doing paint protection films (we stocked a range) full time, 7hrs a day, 6 days a week. mostly for the local car dealers as an upsell on a new car, heaps for the local luxury...
  6. Discussion Pre 1980 brushwork of all kinds.......................

This is great.. makes me sad though. I'm only 30, got my apprenticeship in traditional signwriting at 21- but it was well on the way out by then, only the few remaining real signies were getting brushwork and it was hard for me to get practice (i know i could've at home, but my son had just...
  7. HP L26500- Loud clunk when turning on

does it error out with 'head crash' as the issue at all? we had an issue with the print head carriage smashing in to the side wall upon startup- it ended up being a buildup of gunk on the carriage rails. cleaned & lubed the rails completely & haven't had the problem since.
  8. HP 570 new user problems

Yeah, its the 260. I posted in reply to the media head crash issue- unless the exit platen area is very different to the 260 I thought our solution could work for the 500 series too
  9. If You Have A Latex 300 Series You Will Want This...

could you PM me the L26500 SM at all? I run two that are well out of warranty and having a little more know how would certainly save the boss some dollars
  10. HP 570 new user problems

we cater mostly for the mining industry, so when this started happening to us more frequently, the expense of media was really going up as we use primarily class 1 & class 2 reflective medias. the head honcho is a machinist by trade, he made some nice brass weights that clip to the front of the...

  13. MS Windows 10 Creators Update breaks things.

yeah, we've had our IT disable updates (or put them off as long as possible) as the latest one breaks our Ergosoft posterprint rip for some reason. Quite annoying..

  15. finally, a satisfying job

Just illustrator, nothing fancy. If you mean the vehicles, they were in the source file database when I started here, I think you can purchase them without too much looking.. or probably grab them for free with slightly more looking :) And thank you to Gypsy and Nikdoobs for the suggestion! i...
