I used a 40 teeth carbide general blade. I also tested a 180 tooth blade and it started burning the material so LEAST teeth - better the result. Slower the saw, better the result. I just got a $45 Ryobi from tools direct. Sliding saw would be perfect but I didn't want to spend the money.

This may come handy for some. I made this for almost nothing. Works great for wrap 5 ft rolls and 50 yard rolls. I was limited to 10" saw so rollers were needed. $45 saw and $30 in parts. Still cheaper than $300 12" saw.

I find a best way to see cut lines is by the window and have a LED light. But I figure maybe other people have better solution. Im thinking of getting LONG 4 ft led bar light of some sort.

I was wondering what is everybody using to see cut lines on lets say white vinyl. Im not interested in hearing about 15" LED light boxes, that will not work for me. I have a big surface. Do you put some sort of soft LED light across from you to see the lines? Any lamp/lights tricks?

I have a small 24" cutter and I was wondering if I can add a media basket. Anybody made one themselves? Maybe links to some cheap ones out there? BTW, what fabric best to use? Do I need a fabric, maybe just simple backing paper. I jsut dont want my vinyl to get dirty on some of the longer stuff...
