  2. pattern making from 3d model, exactflat or alternitives

Except UV unwrapping is fine for CGI work. OP wants to make physical wraps on real world physical items. UV maps arent the correct solution for this... Sadly, ExactFlat and Fusion360 and TouchCAD are the only real solutions I've found....
  3. Photopolymer Film Printers

You can use any pigment inkjet ink/film for photopolymer plates. (I'm assuming waterwash out) I've got a orbital platemaker and Epson inkfilms work fine. Halftone, Stochastic, etc For that matter, any ink on film will do.. you just need to make the ink output density very high. It's got to...

  12. Looking for help with warping a image for printing on Translucent

Post any images of this cup. Client wants the cup to change shape into a bucket? Not sure I understand exactly what is being requested.
  13. Review of the Roland LG-640

Just my 2 cents. Do not run expired inks. We've been experiencing drop in print quality due to the inks going over the expiration date. Flushing the old ink out resolved our 'blurry' dot on dot issues...
  14. Need help finding any printer, that uses dye based inks (water soluble)

From a printer's perspective: not sure this is just 'semantics' Dye-based inks are made from dissolved colorants, while pigment inks are made from suspended solid colorant particles. Color Dye-based: Creates vibrant colors that seep into the paper Pigment-based: Creates stable colors that...
