  1. CMYK Vs CMYK Lc Lm Lk in VS-640i

Well, just to get more opinions, I will get into a market that is price driven here. I have been thinking during the night that it is going to be more expensive to run the 7 colors than the 4 colors (inks, electricity, parts and labor). I will try to get a good printed B/W and an image with...
  2. CMYK Vs CMYK Lc Lm Lk in VS-640i

Well, thanks all, I really thought that I was going to get mixed answers, since some of the local guys are telling me that the difference is not that much (in quality) but that it is a lot in speed (almost double), therefore nobody with not so fast models goes with the extra colors...
  3. CMYK Vs CMYK Lc Lm Lk in VS-640i

I'm in the process of getting a new Roland VS-640i for my print shop that works mainly for decor, fine art and photography. I have two porpuses: 1. To use the printer in canvas prints. 2. To enter the signage market that is really the high volume in my country. Here, most of the the Rolands...

  6. Phototex Results

I use PhotoTex regularly on my Canons IPF Pigment printers, once I have to print it in an HP L25500 (owned by a friend) and the results were better than in my Canons in terms of scratch resistance and the look was very good. I used the water based version. So you can use the water based...
  7. Adhesive Remover

Hi all, Well My post is a similar question. I'm new to using a laminator and I got a lot of adhesive from a laminate (jam) in the botton roller of my laminator. Which are your recommendations (product) for cleaning the roll without damaging it ? thanks a lot in advance
  8. portrait printing on the gs6000

Hi Bryce, I think you are listing papers for Pigment Ink, not Eco-solvent. I don't know how good the GS6000 will perform on those papers. Lexjet (lexjet.com) sells some good papers for eco-solvent, suited for prtaiture.
  9. Canon iPF8100

Well, at a time I had one of my Epsons with a carbon inkset (K7 from John Cone) and despite that it is a beatiful blank and white, It is only black and white. I prefer the flexibility of being able to have a very good black and white with the Canons and also have the ability to tone the prints...
  10. Canon iPF8100

The color gamut is very good with the Canons, you can print better with them even if you don't have a particular paper profile. But the Epsons are very good, actually I still put prints from my old 9600 next to those made with the IPF8100 and they are not far behind. Of course you get far...
  11. Canon iPF8100

I have a Canon IPF9000 (4 years old) and a Canon IPF8100 (3 years old). Both have been good machines. Before them I had two Epsons 9600 (actually I keep one of those Epsons). I think the Epsons are better built, but they clogged a lot and that model was really slow compared with the Canons...

  14. Canon IPF9000

I have seen post in other forums about alternative IPF inks, normally they don't print well in glossy or satin media. Are yours good for glossy media ?

  18. Questions about Epson GS6000

Looks like I made a bad question. I just want to know if your impressions after several months of usage is as good as in the beginning. There are no real users in my country to find out. Thanks.
  19. Questions about Epson GS6000

Hi All, I have a fine art printing business in the Dominican Republic. I have been looking (for a while) the most convenient way for me to enter the solvent market. The Epson GS6000 is a very tempting printer. I had the opportunity to be in a demonstration from a local vendor but I have some...
  20. Got our GS6000

Sorry about re-posting, but has anyone notice any problem (more than regular eco-solvent) with the ink adhesion with the Epson. I think that what I saw (ink peeling off quite easy) was maybe an improper setup of the heating process. Regards,
