  1. List of eco solvent printers anything other than roland, mimaki, mutoh?

You cant come and ask 'us pro's' advice and guidance then not like the replys when you get a wake up call to whats really needed to get you off the ground. You got what you asked for, honest advice in my opinion.
  2. Baby it's cold outside...

heaters? jeez, ok its not that cold yet in the uk, 10 -12, even 14 the other day. Go out and buy some body armour under clothing it works.
  3. List of eco solvent printers anything other than roland, mimaki, mutoh?

Start looking for finance mate. but before that, how much do you know about this industry?
  4. How to print 2-sided banner on dig printer?

Mosh, WB, its not a batlle fellas. I can see both points are very valid. Double handling can be a pain especially if a long banner, getting it staright back on a roll as to be able to flip. Mosh If producing banners that need a neat finish, like projecting banners on wire set ups for expo's...
  5. Layout critique request.. :)

I am not saying it should, it is a very important part of the info. My thoughts are based on, collectively the type bullet points are looking sqaushed, to close to the border areas of the sign, and the line spacing of the second bullet point is way to close. Just my thoughts buddy! As I...
  6. Layout critique request.. :)

Map? I was talking about the points at the bottom - Total man..... - Days since..... Steve
  7. How to print 2-sided banner on dig printer?

Sub it out? why? If some else's roll to roll can do it, so can yours! It would be helpful if your design had a bit of blank space toward the edge of the banner edge. You should be able to tell near enough where the print starts for it to be able to line up, or there abouts. You should also...
  8. what do you prefer gloss or matte vinyl?

Another finish we have used, depending on the project and the design lends its self to it, matt lammed the background and applied gloss vinyl cut letters.
  9. Layout critique request.. :)

Nice design, but I totally agree with rjpjr, just needed those little tweaks. Even from those tweaks I would reduce the bullet point info text height a little more. Steve
  10. what do you prefer gloss or matte vinyl?

Interesting subject. We have been moving more towards the matt finish ourselves for outdoor use, but of course always matt for indoor. Astro, I really dont agree that matt finished graphics for outdoor applications look cheap, far from it, it gives a nice finish in our opinion. When just...
  11. So let the hatin begin

Well it certainly isn't what I would want for our company vehicle, not by a lonnng way. Also, - the text on the sides do not work - dont like the word 'hot' smaller - 'smokin' text is very odd, the i and n look diff from rest - why is the word 'signs completely isolated and randomly lost on...
  12. Hello from England

    Thanks fellas Steve
  13. Mimaki JV33

Mach Its not a real problem as such the printer is great, I would just like to put down less ink, (lower res) on certain projects, banners and the like. Great offer on a walk through process, thanks, we are pretty well competent with software and computers but would not know where to start in...
  14. Mimaki JV33

hey. Only small line banding not really bad. It is, as you say, probably media feed speed v passes. Not done any of this kind of adjustment, been concerned I may mess up the feed by doing this. When trying this adjust would it only affect that profile, hmmm. Steve
  15. Mimaki JV33

Evening Guys. We bought our JV33-130 May 08, a great machine. I have been in this industry 23 years and with my critical print eye, quality is everything in what we do and this machine delivers very well what we were looking for in a printer. We print alot of our work in fairly high res...
  16. Solvent media pricing in So Cal?

hey. try Graphic Sign Supplies in Glendale, not too far from you really.Overnight courier will do the trick. Steve
  17. Pricing window perf.

Biker Scout. Thats intersting on the law thing, makes sense I guess. We dont often do vehicle windows and TBH havent lammed em when we have put perf on, mayb I will review this. Of course if we did I would only opt for optically clear lam, any other would be kinda useless. Salmoneye, sorry I...
  18. Pricing window perf.

Salmoneye. Pricing advice on forums are difficult, what might be good for me, may not be good for you. All pricing should be structured around your business overheads, what you pay for materials, and what you want to earn, not what fred down any road is charging. This last 12 - 18 months has...
