We've got a VP-540 and have always used VersaWorks. I'm perfectly happy with it, but wondered if anyone uses Flexi instead? We're running Flexi Pro 8.6v2. Any advantages or disadvantages?
Had a customer with a dark blue Dodge Ram stop by today. He's had his set of magnets for about 6 months. He just noticed this problem this past week when he was washing his truck. He said he has never noticed it before and that he takes them off every week to clean them and wash the truck...
We quoted a small job a couple months ago for a local bridal store. I just noticed they had a new sign up and are now offering: bridal wear, travel services, novelties, lingerie and you guessed it.... SIGNS! It must have seemed like I was going to make a heaping piles of cash on those two...
This is the second occasion I've had someone who has used Vistaprint in the past come into our shop and be baffled why were SO expensive.
The first one wanted full color business cards... We gave them a quote and then they say, "Wow! Those are pricey. We can get free ones from Vista." Did...
What brands of digital banner are you using and like? LG? Herculite? Key? 3m? Utlraflex? We're looking for some different options to run on our Roland. I really like the print quality of the Roland ESM-LBV, but it costs a fortune :) We're currently using LG.
In VersaWorks under the quality settings there is a drop down mode menu with a couple options: CMYK(v) + PASS and CMYK(v)W + PASS. What's the difference? What do they controll?
So it looks like our current desktop, multi-function inkjet is on it's way out. I'd say we go through one of these every couple years.
For my replacement should I go with color laser or inkjet again? We are printing our color design proofs on this printer. What's your advice?
We debated the same thing. We ended up going with the VP540 instead of the XC. It is not as fast, but we didn't really need something that prints several hundred square feet an hour, and running a four color machine costs less per square foot than a six color with very little difference in image...
We run a lot of the Roland Solvent Glossy Paper. Like some others said... it is more of a satin finish. It images very well, even at high speed. It does take a little while to dry with heavy ink loads.
Has any one had experience with products like Color Core, Polycarve or Rowmark's Heavy Weights? I'm looking for some alternatives to HDU. If you have used and sold signs made from this, does it seem to retail about the same as sandblasted/routed HDU?
Can someone explain this error? -- "Could not complete your request because the parser module cannot parse the file".
I got this when i tried to open an .eps file in photoshop. Also tried saving the vector file created in Flexi as an .ai and .pdf file. Same result.
