OK, persistence counts. I went through everything and cleaned everything the best I could, made sure that spring was still connected (which I am still worried about it since it seems loose) but I am back up and running! No overspray - hope it lasts!

just went back under the hood - lol - noticed the spring that holds the encoder strip on if off. When I go to put it back on it seems loose and won't let me do the encoder set up again. Runs to the end and says turn motor off. I have a feeling this is my culprit but how do I tighten that up?

I ordered two of these and two head cables - hopefully they are the correct ones. Out for delivery at the moment, haven't received them yet.

yes, I swapped all the cables and the yellow/magenta came back but yes the black/cyan dropped out

Since I am waiting on a delivery today of the fuse (I also ordered the cables that go to the head) I decided to try to swap the head cables to see if it would print the dropped out magenta/yellow and it did. Would that test make it safe to say the fuse has not blown and it just needs new head...
