  1. Brick Wall Mural

We have the front of our building wrapped with 3M 8624. It has been up for a little over 3 years now facing west and getting a full sun beating every day. Since we now try to stay away from 3M though, I have played around with several vinyls on one of our other brick buildings and they all work...
  2. Need your opinion - Magnum magnetic material

We have had several bad experiences with magnetic materials over the past year so we stopped offering them. We now use Phototex and it works awesome! You can print directly to it, die cut it any way you want, use a liquid lam on it and the work 10 times better than magnets. Just make sure you...
  3. Roland service manual or local tech?

I called my Roland Tech and he said they cover the Florida Pan Handle but not that far... he did say that you can check on the Roland DGA website and get a list of Roland Dealers in the area.
  4. gallery wrap materials

We get our stretcher bars from www.wholesaleartsframes.com. They have every size and thickness and discount pretty well if you buy bulk.
  5. Critique Please!

I think you did a nice job and it flows well! If they have nothing now then they should be very well pleased. The only thing that hit me after looking at it for a few moments is the "N" in LINE. I understand it but I can see someone out there trying to figure out what a FINE LIVIE is. I may be...
  6. Frusterating!

Same here only once I slit the lam and run it through the rollers I pull it through and tack it to the back of the laminator, insert Kraft paper and lower the rollers. We pretty much use Avery 1460 or 1380 for everything and rarely have any issues.
  7. FDC 7233 Series Calendered Air Advantage 3.0 mil - Wrinkles when Print

I have only ever used FDC cut vinyls and they always seemed very well made. I'm surprised that their print film would have so many issues. Hope you get it figured out!
  8. FDC 7233 Series Calendered Air Advantage 3.0 mil - Wrinkles when Print

Solvex perforated does that to me a lot. Havn't found an answer though... Is the backing paper still flat or is it wrinkling to? If your still looking for a great matte calendared vinyl, Avery 2923 EZ is awesome!!!
  9. What is your company workflow is like ?

Our shop has an individual for each position, however everyone in our office personnel can handle most storefront sales, enter orders into our tracking software, contact customers, clean whatever needs to be cleaned and the general workflow. I am considered the manager of our large format print...
  10. Banner Stands

Ultraflex SuperSmooth 15oz PET Blockout is AWSOME in retractable banner stands. The prints come out looking like they have added depth to them and the feel of the material is very nice, unlike polyester films which feel like brittle plastic. It is also great for indoor banners and is printable...
  11. Cutting 6mm ACP?

We have a SawTrax panel saw with 60 tooth carbide blade. It has a vacuum hood which handles most of the shavings. I like it because I can do most all cuts by myself and it props up out of the way pretty nice.
  12. 3M Envision 480cv3

If you PM the Oracal used on here they will hook you up. Just tell them what kind of equipment you have and what all products your interested in.
  13. 3M Envision 480cv3

I don't proclaim to be the wrap expert that many on this sight are, however I would think just because the material can stretch farther, that does not mean the adhesive can stretch that much farther without weakening. I was fairly new at doing full wraps when we were using 180cv3 and I never had...
  14. Avery 900 Supercast bad lot possibly?

We order small pieces like that from Alumapanel... They have Oracal and FDC. We get a lot of FDC 2100 series like this (small pieces, not defective).
  15. Do stickers need to be laminated?

It's not bad unless you are trying to mount it straight off the printer. We make all of our foam core and corrugated products this way. Just let them dry about an hour. This past week we did two 4x8 full bleed prints on ultra board with no lam. To the topic though... Some decals we laminate...
  16. Competitor selling wraps too cheap

This post is great!!! I hope you don't mind if I print this out and pass it to my sales people who constantly ask me if we can beat a local competitor who actually wraps with IJ35C. They did a greyscale camo wrap on a Dodge Magnum last month. I saw it a few days ago and most all of the edges...
  17. favorite wrap vinyl

Just out of curiosity? What color. Is the car and what color are you going to?
  18. favorite wrap vinyl

Are you printing or doing a paint(color change) wrap? We have only done printed wraps here... Avery seems to work the best for me. Low tack when you need it and stays put after you squeegee it. I used 180cv3 when I first started doing wraps and always had trouble with it. Swapped to Avery's...
  19. My friend is missing... Possibly considered harmful to himself.

Hello all, not a good day here... One of my college friends has left his family, posted a possible suicide note on Facebook, and has not been seen or heard from in 3 days now... They tried tracking his cell phone, but he gave it away to a stranger. He was last seen in the Charlotte, North...
  20. Screw you 3M.

Oracal 3165RA is a little better than the IJ35C, cost a little bit more but well worth it. The Oracal Rapid Air works much better than the 3M air release.
