I don't think it's live.

Outline has 3 different styles. Perpendicular, clipped, and round. If you have selected the perpendicular style, the only explanation would be that your object has tiny clipped corners, which gets enlarged by the outline.

I relaunch Flexi pretty often. At least once a day, or sometimes several times a day. Of course, part of them was due to crashes. I don't work with bitmap on Flexi too much.
