That happens on most printers, I don't think your heater is too high, it's just something you have to clean off from time to time. I just add that step when I clean the printheads on my Rolands.
When I add the OPOS marks using the Summa GoSign plugin for Coreldraw the layer is locked by default. Even when I unlock it, it re-locks itself while I'm working with the file. It's annoying when I try to export a file to print and the marks don't show up because the layer is locked. It's not...
Go Sign isn't going to nest multiple quantities for you like Versaworks will, you'll have to actually layout in your design software what you want to cut. I run both the drag knife and tangential model. I would get the S3 T if i were you. it's really nice to use the flex cut and can make really...
Is this a one off thing for you guys or are you planning on offering this more in the future? You can order halo lit letters from a wholesaler and they will come with the proper UL labels and everything you need to assemble the sign.
It works well for parking signs but I wouldn’t use it on anything bigger. It’s really awkward to use though. Once you open the bag you better be ready to pour it, and hope it doesn’t get on you... The downside is one bag will fill to holes for parking signs, but they have to be right next to...
We used to use vinyl off to remove semi trailer graphics, it worked ok, but we were also using a heated industrial pressure washer. I’d stick to rapid remover for what you’re doing.
I’ve wrapped lots of tile walls that all were fairly easy. As mentioned above, use IJ180 or something similar and bring a rollepro. Post heat after install.
There is no translucent black. You can use any black you want, but it will be easier to find one that doesn’t have a paper backer if you’re going to install it wet. Use a cast black and it will last longer.
The Sign Setter is a great tool. I never really liked it for actually mounting the sign, but it makes marking the wall really fast. I usually install ADA signs with 2 guys regardless of the size of the job. Unless there is a time crunch, then I’ll add more people. One guy measures and makes...
I’d like to create a macro to replicate some version of variable data in Corel. The idea is to be able to layout several hundred labels with different serial numbers and replace a text placeholder with info from an Excel file. I tried using ChatGPT to write the code for this but haven’t had much...
I’ve been doing the same way for years with no issues on Printed/Laminated or just translucent vinyl. The only thing I find is wound up bits of masking get wrapped on the bit sometimes or stuck in the vacuum, otherwise works great. I will agree with some previous posts that it helps if you let...
You should try it on the Summa, you’d be surprised what they can handle. In the past I’ve cut .03” styrene and sand blast mask on mine before we got a flatbed cutter. Just make sure you have enough blade showing and play with the settings until it works. It might not, I don’t know exactly what...
Definitely agree that the Colorado would be the right choice for you, assuming you want to spend the extra $. I was able to get very nice looking prints and could process a 50yd roll in under an hour. Plus you can print in matte or gloss mode.
Loading the media like the video shows will probably help some rather than over the table. It could also be that your pressure is too high? I’ve had the bow in the middle and lightened up on roller pressure and had some luck.
Those holders are made by JRS that just recently went out of business. You can probably buy some from Hansen Supply or Johnson plastic until they run out.
