The perf cut has seemed a little iffy on this machine and somewhat hard to dial in accurately. It seems to tear and rip a lot. are there any suggestions? I have heard that guys use a "kiss" cut before the perf, Does it really help? Also. Are there any basic foundation rules applied to this...
Thanks Wayne! I have been using the sort option. But whatever you do in the creation state of the art, Will inevitably dictate what the sort function can do it seems. So I chose to make a compound path and it seems to do a much better job on the preview of how the machine views the art to cut...
I have noticed that my software does not use the most efficient cutting patterns. I am printing several thousands rectangular boxes. It will do a line here, Then jump to a completely different side of the machine and do a line in a completely different decal. Then hop back to the first on do a...
haha
Hahaha. Glad I am not thee only one. Well for starters I was wearing a about 90% polyester, Which definitely was not helping. Secondly, I run my print shop out of my basement in my house and the moister level is insane. 3rd Running a space heater probably does not help either... But Thanks...
when sending file from illustrator to raster-link, It states " TIFF file to large to preview" Which I did not think would effect it. and honestly I have been running the same file for almost a year with a few here and there going off chart. but now it is about 40 to 50% out of 100..
Does not matter how you run in it. vertical, horizontal.. Was recommended to clean the encoder strip. Inspected it first and it was not dirty, But I cleaned it anyway.. same issue.
Also, I tried to run it on uni-direction and it still did it. Checked artwork and re-rasterized just to be sure...
Cleaned the encoder strip. same issues. Randomly too. That is what doesn't make sense, Some are dead nuts and then in the same or next row. sporadically it will mess up. I think it is actually around 40% if not 50% My MIMAKI tech is on vacation until the 5th. I don't have that kind of time..
Just tried it on uni directional instead of bi-directional.. same thing.. re ripped the program just to make sure and still.. I would call my Mimaki tech, But he is pretty lazy and replies with " I am not sure" rather often. It's almost a waste of time even contacting him
I have checked the artwork and it is straight in the AI file. Not sure what is going on. It used to be a couple here and there since I purchased the printer new. now it is about 30-40 out of a sheet of 100.. needless to say that is more than unacceptable.. Any Ideas? picture attached. Does not...
My printer runs daily, I focus on mass production jobs instead of one offs etc. I usually print in between 10 and 20 thousand decals a month, Sometimes 30 to 40. Your comment seems somewhat pretentious and close minded.. If you can buy in bulk and save money; Why wouldn't you??? Seems pretty...
ARC RESOURCE IMAGING. I may be getting a better deal, since I purchased the printer from them and being on a two year contract for ink through them. Keep in mind I also spend 30 to 40k a year with them in vinyl alone..
I currently pay 104.00ea shipped through my vendor. I do not want to switch to bulk ink due to mess and the thought of eating up 2500.00 print heads over using cheap ink doesn't really seem logical to me. Some say it is ok to use bulk ink, Most say " ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT" What are some...
About 7 months ago I purchased a new MIMAKI CJV-30-130,
Of course when it was sold to me I was promised that it was one of the best printers you could buy on the market..
Its.. ok.. sometimes..
I am a very particular person about more than just a few things in life. An absolute perfectionist...
