It only appeared once after the first problem. Now all is printed with the lighter shade..

I printed perhaps three hours after cap change before this happened. The tech is coming on Monday to have a look. He "forgot" to check/solve an issue with spraying too. Ha said it was air in the lines, and that could explain the spray. Maybe something else failed right there. It is strange...

It just changed gradually, over a few inches. No special banding or nothing.

Can't roll here. The customer has approved samples already and the final product has to comply with that.. Can't really understand why it would first work and then not, when using the same rip on the same machine. Stuff like that can never be avoided.

I usually use only EPS files straight from Illustrator, since VersaWorks ripped a couple of pdf files wrong. This time I saved a TIFF from importing the pdf into Photoshop. What's strange is that the blue is different between the eps/pdf and the TIFF. What's even more strange is that the...

And now it won't work again. The first TIFF prints ok, but I cannot make a new from page two of the original pdf. I hate my job right now.

Neverending story, this XC-540. Now it decided to print a blue much lighter all of a sudden, in the middle of a print. It was fine all morning, but suddenly the color is very off and unusable. I have restarted both the computer and the printer. I have re-ripped the job. I have tested...

Fixed it. Missed attaching one cable to the board. It was hiding under it. :\

I switched the servo board on my XC-540 because the feed motor was dead (a motor switch didn't help). Now the motor works, but it feeds at full speed when trying to print anyting and won't stop. Could it be some kind of sensor problem? Any advice is appreciated. /Toby

Haven't had a tech look at it. We don't have a tech locally anymore, so we would need to fly a guy in just to look at it. I'll try some more by myself. I'll look at more test prints tomorrow. It's printing for the rest of the day. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated! /Toby

Tried to calibrate my XC-540 and noticed that when it prints the test, H6 prints very blurry. This only occurs when printing DT3 and not DT1 though. What is DT1 and DT3? Is there a bad head? Also see pic #2. Supposed to be all black. In pic #3, what is wrong with the black reference...

Paid $7.50 to get into the premium area to get the service manual, but no help there either. Please help me out with the ink problem. (Cannot find information the ink set used in the device detected. Please make sure the software supports this ink set.)

Update: On my board, switch #8 was marked as #1, so I had to flip #2 and not #7 to get it to work. Now VW complains about inks. Solution?

My SP-300 still doesn't read SP-300V during start up. Latest firmware installed prior to the operation. Could it be the firmware? Where do I find a firmware that works?

We use GPPG in VersaWorks after our tech support guy gave us a list of profiles. We're told to use the GPPG for PVC banners too, so you can probably try using banner.
