  1. Font ID Help Please - Possible Engraving Font?

Thank you SignosaurusRex! That's why they pay you the big bones!!! Yeah, I did go there. I appreciate your quick reply and perfect response - you are on it! Take the rest of the century off! James
  2. Font ID Help Please - Possible Engraving Font?

Hi Folks, Hoping to find this font, although I believe the ends of each letter are probably supposed to be perfectly round. None of these look to be consistent. Also, could this be an "engraving" font meaning that it is created from simple vector lines? Please let me know if you Font ID...
  3. SoCal Flatbed Printer

Econolinesigns and cwb143, thank you both for the suggestions/links! It looks like either could handle the majority of what we do. I look forward to giving them a shot, or at least hearing what they can offer. I appreciate your responses! James
  4. SoCal Flatbed Printer

Hey Folks, Since we are yet to enter the flatbed printing market, we are looking for a local vendor to whom we can outsource some printing. This would mainly be for architectural signage; evacuation plans, unit ID signs, small copy size signs, etc. We sub a lot out to screen printing...
  5. Removable Gloss Black... is there such a creature?

Removable Gloss... Hey Gypsy, I bought some removable gloss black from Interstate Electric in the past. I know I have a 15" roll with probably 40+ yards left as I had to buy 50 yards. It was rather inexpensive, and I've used it on a couple banners where they wanted to continually change from...
  6. Anyone Know This One?

AKWD, Thanks for the research! That's all I have from HEGD (of MyFonts). Just trying to help him out by posting it here as he's not a member yet. I think we're all in agreement that another font would be best. He's gonna' attempt to convince the client. Thanks for all the suggestions and...
  7. Anyone Know This One?

Day Sign Co, That does look as close as I've seen (and indeed better). Maybe it was adapted from this after pounding back a few...cases. Thank you! That could be the starting point...much appreciated! James
  8. Anyone Know This One?

Rodi, Raphael - not a match. Thanks for the stab, anyhow! James
  9. Anyone Know This One?

Gino, Hahaha, I'll drink to that, brother! Although, it appears as if alcohol had an influence on the existing sign, in the first place! It's not my job, but I'm in agreement; chisel these away and put up something classy like Jheri Curl! Haha Thank you! James
  10. Anyone Know This One?

AKWD, Thank you for the attempt! Yeah, a friend posted it to MyFonts, and I told him I'd try it here. I say break out the pen tool, but we'll give it a little time! Fenris, Yes, Davida is similar in style indeed, but this one just seems odd. Thanks for looking! If it comes to ya' later...
  11. Anyone Know This One?

Not sure if this was hand done, but thought I'd post it just in case someone would recognize it. Thank you in advance! James
  12. Help with a font

It is pretty small, but I'd guess that is in the Frutiger family. Good luck!
  13. Seal Parts Dealer?

Anyone know of any companies that sell parts for Seal laminators? I'd like to replace the control pad on my EP-42 myself, but can't seem to locate anything online, or otherwise. Time to sub out the lamination. Thanks in advance! James
  14. Vegas Anyone?

Looks like a font called Magneto...check it out...let me know. Thanks! James
  15. MAC or Windows ?

I'd do some research and see what the top design firms in your area, or nationally, are using. Then I'd go that route. If your focus is design, you will probably come across the answer rather easily. Good luck! James
  16. Print and cut

As njsigns said, the work path that comes in, exported from Photoshop, typically comes in with no color for the stroke or the fill. This meaning that you will see nothing unless you go to view it in outline form. You can also, upon opening it, do a Select All, and then change the stroke color...
  17. printing and cutters stickers

LadyEleanor, We had a CX-500 and now a GX-500 and just so you know, there is a bit of a learning curve there as far as "using that optical eye!" It is a little bit tricky, and depends on what software you are using as well. You will slice right through the middle of several decals before you...
  18. Cutting Letters

Go for it with a band saw Conor! Maybe take it a step further and contact cement a thin laminate (Chemetal, acrylic, etc.) to a piece of 1 or 2" foam, and THEN band saw that gig! I'd set up a pattern first, however. One for mounting to your wall, and then nest all the letters together to save on...
  19. what cutting software do you use ?

Just out of curiosity, will Corel/CoCut do auto serialization? Basically take one sign (numerals inside a shape) and then step and repeat that sign while increasing the numerals by a specified amount? We've used this feature quite a bit. Not to mention you can kern pairs of lettering/numerals...
  20. what cutting software do you use ?

Flexi-Expert 7.7v2. We went this route to take advantage of the auto-serialization. When you have 500 address unit plaques, or garage plaques to set up, it comes in quite handy!
