It's a JF-1631. The head that's acting up now isn't the one i replaced. I can see my pump turning down below, but i do not see the damper diaphragm suck in when it should during a cleaning. I haven't tried sucking through the head. How do i go about doing that?

The issue is that the JV3 reads that there isn't a cartridge (yellow) in. It just started after a run. The ink is pretty full and the date is march of 2013. I've gotten it to read the cartridge, only if i "wiggle" the cartridge a few times. Any thoughts on how to fix this??

The sensor that tells you the ink is running low or empty. My yellow ink sensor (#8) keeps telling me my ink is at end, but i can kind of jiggle the cartridge a bit and it reads it fine. So, that tells me the sensor is either lose or wearing down??

Does anyone here know how to replace/remove one? If so, do you have a video or paperwork that shows how? Thank you.

Yeah, i downloaded that. It doesn't have a section on how to replace a print head.

Silly question...How do you check the what firmware you're running on the JV33? I noticed on the start up that it show v3.20. Is that the firmware?

I'm in line to purchase one as well. What is the green chip? The prices vary drastically online. I've seen JV33 print head range from $700 US to $2000 US. Little help?

We have 2 Mimaki JV 3's. They've lasted around 8 years now. Have had the usual maintenance issues with them. Nothing major yet. That said, about 2-3 years ago, we bought a JV 33. IT's at least triple the speed of the JV 3's. Much worth the extra $$$.

That's the thing. It was perfect after i installed everything. The damper filled up fine and the test draw was perfect. Then, the next day it's not printing at all and the damper just doesn't look like it's filling up now. Thoughts? I've aligned the cap several times.

So, i replaced my yellow print head a few weeks ago. Lately we've had certain print job have the yellow ink printing before the rest of the ink. I assume when i replaced the head, i must not have installed it correctly?? It was pretty straight forward. Any help on how to fix this?
