Is name calling acting professional and allowed here on the board? I haven't done any of that. People can disagree on things. But I don't accept someone as a professional who has to resort to childish tactics like name calling to try and throw mud at the other guy. Or try to make accusations...
You don't know what you are talking about. You are making up stuff to fulfill your agenda. You don't know what I charge, and you don't know the quality of my work to even be able to comment on it. Don't you have cheap quality work to get back to so someone else can come back and do it the right way?
The only negative I see are the people doing the name calling and put downs.
I show respect by not engaging in name calling unlike what you are doing. You've been posting alot of negative crap.
No one made you click on the link. It's like what they say, if you don't like the channel, then change it instead of staying around whining. I would appreciate it if you don't resort to name calling as it's NOT professional.
Maybe I mispoke about it being a hobby as I was using somone elses definition since someone else brought up the hobby part. It started off as a hobby and turned into a part time business. Though some people do refer to a part time business as being a hobby. I do still make stuff for myself. Just...
You're not upsetting me as I can do what I want just like you do what you want. People like to get into other peoples business for some reason instead of worrying about themselves and their own business.
I'm not kissing anything and not stabbing anyone in the back. It's called competition. If I want to compete with lower prices than I can. That's the way the market works.
Looks like the local sign people aren't doing a good job anyways. I was at a place that was newly opened, and I was talking...
I had came up with a bunch of designs I wanted to put on shirts and other things. Screenprinting was not an option. And the local vinyl t-shirt shop would only do basic letters for some reason, they wouldn't cut any custom vector artwork. So I got the equipment and made it myself. Turned out...
"Chill" out and worry about your own business instead of what someone else is doing that you don't anything about.
Some places will sell to you wholesale regardless. And some won't without the proper ID numbers. I don't know why you guys are making this an issue. I'm not worried about wholesale...
I already had it figured out. I cut them out and sell them. Was just asking for a general price dealers are paying for cut decals so I had a general idea.
I can't make any money buying retail and marking it up. I'd make more doing it myself. I could do nothing, or cut and sell. 500 stickers at...
I do this by myself. So I buy retail, and looks like I couldn't buy from those places anyways. Or if I did, it would be retail price, then try and mark them up.
$1 a piece is pretty good. I could upgrade my cutter if I did 1500 of them. Sounds better than no upgraded cutter.
I do this by myself so I guess I can't buy from those places, but never planned to anyways as I didn't bring those places up.
How much money did you make on that order? And what's your mark up?
It's easy to do that when you buy wholesale.
Well, whatever places I could order from, they'd be able to order from. So I'd still be marking up retail to sell retail.
Still though I think the price would be too high to do that. My best bet is to make them myself and undercut wherever they are getting them from. Because the dealers are...
Yeah I understand that. But most resellers buy wholesale and sell retail, they don't mark up retail. Kinda like the car dealers themselves as I can't go and buy a car from GM, I have to go to a dealer.
I would feel like I was scamming someone if I marked up and sold stouse.com decals to a...
I'd have to make these myself and try and undercut where ever they are getting them from. I don't think I could go buy and resell these things from the same place the dealer could buy from and make any money. Plus I think the dealer would get pissed if he found out I was just being a middle man...
Have you used them before? The other thing is what kind of quality vinyl is used at these places.
I priced out 3"x4" one color at 500. And it was 1.19 a piece. Or $600 for the order. So that would be the price if the car dealer were to order it there themselves.
I don't think I could use one...
