I was first going to hit up the dealers already using vinyl bumper stickers. Then seeing if they'd be willing to let me make some for them as I figured they had them made locally. I was going to see what the going rate was then maybe see if I could do it cheaper since my overhead is low.
I had...
Do they look like regular vinyl cut graphic with application tape on them?
And are the ones you are using under the "autograph decals."?
Looks like 500 quantity at twelve square inches or less are .80 a piece.
I didn't see where you were getting the .30 at.
Other thing is not too sure if a...
Is anyone doing decals for car dealer lots that they put on the car bumpers? As in you cut them all out say 100 or maybe 500 at a time?
What vinyl are you using for that? And what type of tape are you using, i.e. brown or clear?
And around how much are you charging per piece? I'm guessing they...
I was looking for a recommendation on a satin/low gloss vinyl for outdoor use like on vehicles, windows, etc.
I had been using the 3M 7125 cast vinyl which is kinda a low gloss compared to Oracal.
But I noticed the 3M has this serrated look to it along the edge after being cut. Not sure...
Which clear tape did you use? They have more than one. I'm just interested in clear as I'm layering. Plus I think it is just easier to see what you are doing when trying to line up the graphic on say a glass door window or something.
I did some testing with Avery paint mask. Stuck it on for a few hours and pulled it off. It left no adhesive. Next test would be to lay some paint mask down. Then spray it to make sure that works okay and not melt it or something.
Do you think that vinyl won't leave any residue behind on Acryic Lacquer?
The test pieces I've done, is layed a base coat. Let it sit for like a week to make sure it was cured. Then stuck on the vinyl for several hours, then peeled it off to see if you could see where the vinyl was.
I was...
The problem I've had so far is the vinyl leaving residue on the background paint I stuck it to. So you stick it on something already painted, pull it off after a couple of hours as a test. And you can see where the vinyl was at.
So, I need to figure out a mask that won't do that first. Then...
Does it work with Lacquer paints? The paint mask Oracal told me to use with Lacquer paint left residue after peeling the mask off. Luckily it was just a sample. But I know one paint mask Fellers sells is Oracal. So, I don't know what brand paint mask you are referring to.
So, I was wanting to...
What masking vinyl that goes in a cutter works with Acrylic Lacquer paint? Something that won't leave residue.
I've read when painting with a vinyl stencil. To first put spray a coat of whatever the background color is. That is so it seals the vinyl to reduce/eliminate any chance of under...
I was looking at doing a painting with Acrylic Lacquer paint. I was planning on cutting out some paint mask (stencil) vinyl to use as a paint mask. This is going to be a flat surface, so I'd like to use the thicker type stencil vinyl.
Do you have any recommendations on stencil vinyl that won't...
