Ive used .75 pvc for applications BUT never NEVER use black pvc, painted black is fine however since your letters are "off" the wall I would have used HDU or 1" pvc
on the top which appers to be blasted redwood I would offer price to repaint all brown and place 040 or 063 lauminum over bottom part and attached with 6 small deck screws and some silicone. After paint dries out you can place vinyl lettering on top of that.
on the bottom sign replace with 063...
personally for me I would coat with 2 part auto epoxy and then spray with latex and the roll the other color on top with latex.
one shot is crap and good luck clearing it because one shot clear is also crap, MAP is good but expensive as you mentioned.
latex is flexible and will last quite awhile
Dont know if epoxy has changed but last time I did it I ordered cheap prints from signs365 NOT LAMINATED and contour cut and placed on rink and then epoxied over, no problems, that was a few years ago.
I dont see why you need anything expensive to make these with when the apoxy is the protector...
I dont belive anything from any company. Google reviews are absolute BS.. JD Powers is absolute BS. Its all about the money and who is in whose pockets. Well since HP and BMG (brand management group) seem to be in bed with each other, its no wonder they announce any BS awards for HP...
