Maybe I should rephrase that. It wasn't only happening over that letter. I'm just saying that the letters that it was happening close to it is still close to them.
Its not at the same place on the platen but at the same place in the print.
I just bumped the file over in the rip and the lines followed with the movement. It was happening right above a certain letter and with the movement it is still happening over that letter.
I'm sure this MainTop rip is junk, could it be in a setting somewhere.
I'm getting these random lines on my TJet 1671 with a DX7 head. The are not uniform at all as far as where they show up. Most of the time they are on the edge of the print, sometimes they are just outside the print area, and this time they ran right through part of the print.

reQ did you get your setup going. I just got a TJet 1671 and have been messing with the MainTop software today. I don't have experience with any other software so I don't know how it compares.
Long time lurker, first time poster from the Indianapolis area.
Currently do vinyl work and some apparel on the side with my wife out of our house. We do very basic stuff now, but stay pretty busy with just a couple good customers that we do quite a bit of work for.

Mine just had this problem too. Either try what kanini said and if that doesn't work and you still have the plastic holder in it replace it with an aluminum one. I replaced my stock one with the aluminum holder and put a new blade in and it fixed the problem.

beartoothsigns what did you end up doing, I'm having the same problem. I ended up with my blade all the way out and force maxxed out and it cuts through just doesn't weed easily like it should. Did you try something a little thinner or did cutting it twice do the trick?
