i have spoke with sepiax a few weeks ago. they say the ink is waterbased, but the carrier is some sort of a glue, that is why ink stick to all kind of materials. The printer needs a heater, actualy about 55 degrees celsius. Here in Europe cost of ink is about 150 euros per liter.

maybe accurate or not so accurate the link above. my guess is the ink cost depends on print settings (pattern used, rezolution, nr of passes, ink limits aso). for my versacamm, versaworks estimates the consumption in cc per job, but i think they allready know the droplet size :). from job to job...
