Hello Everyone,
So I have a 1624 which up until yesterday has been great. All of a sudden yesterday I noticed the left channel of the black head was only firing about the top 10-20% of it's nozzles in a sporadic pattern. After tons of trouble shooting, cleanings etc no luck. I realized the...
Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I must have had notifications off as I didn't catch these replies sooner. The vinyl I am using is 3m180MC-114 in CLEAR. Backed up with a 3m 7725 white cast vinyl. The acrylics are only 6.5" so I don't think weight is the issue, which was also suggested as a...
I agree that the issue is the adhesive between the graphic and the acrylic - but I guess my question is would that be because silicone was used in the first place or the adhesive on the vinyl have an issue? I am wondering if using silicone is a common practice and considered acceptable for this...
Hello All,
I have some questions regarding installing small acrylic signs (less than 1 square foot) on to texture walls such as stucko and concrete. My clients have been installing signs for years on to these surfaces with a particular silicone (non shrinking) and usually vhb or similar for...
Does anyone know of any other vendors besides thebadwrap that offers that raster photolike image style templates? I had a client forward me some art today laid out on a low res template that looked just like thebadwrap but it wasn't them. The reason I'm asking is because thebadwrap doesn't...
Also, agree that heads should last 3 years. Both of our seikos have original heads in CYK and all 3 heads in both printers have 100% nozzles. They are amazing that we haven't lost a single nozzle in the 6 heads after 3-4 years. However, magenta heads seem to go bad fast. I think their issue...
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. As far as I know the subtank was never replaced with any of the heads. If it was the same tank that caused the problem wouldn't it have caused the new heads to go bad much sooner than a year?
Just so you know the details here is what the head was doing. I am...
Incoming complaint/rant due to extended frustration.
So it all started 3 1/2 years ago. We purchased two brand new Seiko W54s from Proveer with 2 year warranty each. 6 months later proveer sells off to grimco. 12 months after than the first magenta head goes bad in seiko #1. Well to skip...
Any idea what causes the deflected nozzles? (not what caused them but what physical causes them) As in is it some type of dried ink in the head causing it or is it something more mechanically wrong? If it is just dried ink or something there's got to be a way to get it clean again...right? I'm...
Here is a picture of that test done on my black and my magenta. The magenta looks a lot smoother than the black. If this IS deflected nozzles would a good head cleaning with cleaning cartridges fix the problem?
Thanks for the reply guitarguy. This machine has had the problem now for at least 6 months so it feels more permanent at the moment. It might have been caused by contaminated ink though.. Do you mind sending me a whisper on how to access the maintenance mode? I'm pretty sure you aren't...
As far as I can tell there isn't a Seiko forum and Seiko makes a lot of the HPs (or vise versa) - is there a more accurate forum to post in?
In response to your suggestion - I initially thought the capping station to be the most likely issue, but if that was the case after I was able to unclog...
My standard test print/nozzle check looks perfect (except 1 black nozzle that has been out since day1) - I will run more detailed nozzle checks though. Just out of curiousity though if this was a deflected nozzle issue wouldn't it still be a little more of a sporadic banding? I mean printing...
So we have a fairly new Seiko W54S that has very low mileage on it. I am having communication issues with Seiko right now so I am hoping to start troubling shooting it in the mean time. The Black Yellow & Cyan heads operate flawlessly without a single missing nozzle. The magenta head however...
Here is a more detailed picture of this problem that I am still having. Has anyone had this type of banding issue? A buddy of mine has a Epson gs6000 which is almost the same machine and he has brand new dampers and he is having the same issue with his black.
This pic is a picture of the...
Any update on your machine? Did it turn out to be electrical? Mine is starting to get worse and show in more colors now. Head tests look good, but the printing is still appearing as if several nozzles aren't firing.
Thank you very much for the replies. I am going to test all of that in the next day or two and keep you updated. I appreciate the time from everyone assisting here, you atleast gave me a little better understanding of the mechanical operation which is what I'm good at from that point. If I...
That picture was taken after we started to shut it down and get ink out of the lines. When we power on the printer all four of the subtanks properly fill to the correct level then stop. So the inks make it from the bulk containers through the inline filter and in to the subtanks. Then we when...
We are not having the ink free flowing through the head problem any more. Now we have a problem with ink not purging through the head. We used to have vuteks so I am a little familiar with what you are referring to. We do have solenoids on all ink lines in the carriage and they all "click"...
