I just have constant nightmares with this thing. Between this low end *budget* printer and a computer not nearly good enough to run a large format printer I'm constantly pulling my hair out =O
I just know when it comes time for me to get a large format printer I'm staying away from mutoh and roland
You know I've printed from this file atleast 10 times. It's a repeat order. No clue why this is happening.
Of course though. I change the assigned pantone from spot to cmyk and it works fine
Why should I have to do this? Who knows....
At least I can continue working instead of losing hair...
If I ever purchase my own sign shop I'll never use some cheap end printer again. The nightmares this thing gives me is enough to make me spend 4x the amount on a real f********* printer
So I come in this morning and my printer won't print blue. Nozzle check shows its all firing. Yet it shows...
EXACTLY after a few feet the issue disappears....I think it either has to do with something on the rollers or the material not being the correct temperature when it starts printing.....
I'm mighty nervous when it comes to physically cleaning the head on this thing. I've read the manual, and looked through all the documentation I have, but it still doesn't seem to do justice!
I have some swabs made for doing this but I can't seem to clean behind the head well. There has to be a...
I can't get a good photograph to show you exactly what's going on here
BUT

anyone...
You need Acrobat Professional to create PDF's.
When you install Acrobat Professional it installs a printer called "Adobe PDF" you can then select this instead of printers when printing something. It will then give you some options for the PDF, and generates one.
BTW I have acrobat pro...
It's the actual plotting knife causing the damage.
I finally got a hold of a manager at graphtec. He took care of the situation.
They are sending us another loaner, and they are shipping our plotter to California to fix it.
ahh feel much better
Ok...
When I started here 5 months ago the guy I replaced told me every once in a while the plotter would drag the knife through the print. I had just came from a sign shop with the same exact plotter, and never seen an issue like this before.
Sure enough though every blue moon you'd goto...
Anyone have a decent image of a pine tree?
Not an actual photograph, but a rendering, or possibly a vector image?
I'm going to print it so it doesn't have to be vector
My girlfriends dad wants a sign for his hunt club, and wants to do something similar to this...
Raid 5 FTW
A drive fails, you lose no data. You get a nice message letting you know, so you can put in another hd to replace the failed one. Couldn't get any better.
With everyone having high speed internet access nowadays would be easy to setup everyday for your shop to backup to one pc/file...
