I DID NOT think that the brick was any good.... OK...on FONTS? What makes for a good font verses a bad font?

The last card was a joke....the brick was for certain...just been playing with the cards and was talking to my wife....said it was like a brick wall and pulled up that image to place on the card. Don't worry, I don't think I am that crazy that I think that is a good image design...

what I have come to think today is that no matter what I put up with my business name on it you are not going to like it....If that makes me an outcast to signs101 then I hate it. I thought I had been working off of what was said. Dropped weird colors and wrong shadows and outlined...

alrightythen, I simply meant that I am done with trying to do any sort of card design. I would really like to know what I am missing over the length of this thread. Other than liking a certain style to a business name that you all don't like either of, I am not sure what I have missed...

guess that this should be a closed thread. "lil Details" is the business name. What does it have to do with signs? What do most business names have to do with that business? If I took my own name and put SIGNS on the end would that be better? Why?? My business at this time is Window...

ok...so I am not gone yet... That is only one font on any of the last cards. Other than my own hand drawn business name it is one font....

I am blind....most of the simple fonts look the same to me....but trying to keep it simple....

or with all information on the front....

so does this still just look like crap? I know it is along the same style as the other one, but this is actually me writing the business name and then cleaning it up just a bit..... If I am simply blind then hopefully I am not totally deaf too and can listen to you all. I am here to learn...

I didn't mean to be rude with that and if it was then I am very sorry. I was simply looking at what she had wrote and all but the point one about the slant and then the "buddy drew it" part was all about the first card with blue and shadows and all that..... I think I had changed all of that...

never say EVER....but for now, I like the font for my business name. If that is my weak point then so be it. BTW, Flame, I like the card you posted. Sort of a "silent movie" sort of look. I just look at it and think that it would be a nightmare to try and use that font and cut the vinyl...

Professor, did you catch the last post I made of a design idea? http://www.signs101.com/forums/showpost.php?p=567568&postcount=45 I had addressed most of what you are restating on the design flaws. Simplified, solid colors, edge borders made much bigger than the first, single font other...

Sort of why I asked what the karts cost. I would say find a used small printer and get going. Why work at layering vinyl when something like that would be easy to wrap. Go for the designing it and outsource the actual printing of it....then make the bucks on design and install.
